Book suggestions wanted

Hi all. Since we might have some hours here and there during our trip, we are looking for good book titles. So if you have any suggestions, please send them to us! Anything goes, from text books to easy reading. We read English, German, Norwegian/ Swedish/ Danish, and Finnish. And if you have books you can spare: give them!

    1. Laura! I fear we won't make it to Salo, not this time anyway. But I hope you can make it to wherever we will be?

  2. Well, I'm always happy to get involved if anyone asks for book recommendations. Let's see... John Williams: Stoner (one of the best books I read last year, huge success last year though it was written decades ago), Sarah Waters: Night watch (2nd WW and lesbians), Kate Atkinson: Life after life (history with a weird twist), David Foster Wallace: Brief interviews with hideous men (odd and a bit disturbing but funny), Ian McEvan: any of his books. These happened to come to mind first. Oh, and all of these are big names, all happen to be english or american, but probably available in various languages, just pick one.
