Info for visitors

If you plan to visit, please consider the following:

• Please don't tell me you have no time - given that you really WANT to join, you can make time. Feel free to join long, short, multiple times, or whatever, but stop whining and join! 
• Some people would call this "a great opportunity", and it doesn't cost you anything. You also don't need anything you don't already have, not even skills!
• So, when are you coming? Don't be shy also if we don't know so well, I think we can handle strangers and you can handle us. Also, please forward this to people you think might be interested. I'm serious and getting visitors along the way is very important to us.
• We have no clue how our planned route will change along the way. So, if you are planning to visit us make sure to get in contact and ask where to buy your flight tickets to! Of course, tickets are cheaper the earlier you book, and while sometimes we might know already a few months in advance in which country/ general region we will be, sometimes we will need to be a bit flexible and short term planning is needed. In any case, we will definitely manage to tell you which airport/ town to get to, and in any case you will have to be flexible in how to get to the boat with local transport. It has worked in the past and will work this time!
• Bring clothes appropriate for the region you are joining, but a bit warmer (it can be much colder on the boat). Don't forget rain clothes!
• While the actual time sailing might seem fairly cheap, there are a lot of costs connected to maintaining the boat (we can tell you more about that if you want:)). Therefore, we would appreciate if you could take over some of the running costs while on board, such as diesel, marina fees, or food. Only if you can and want, though, we will not ask!
